Abstract

The article concerns the problems of social space development in the conditions of transforming civilizational values. Modern sociological metaparadigms are analyzed and their methodological value in understanding of social processes is revealed. On the basis of the SWOT-analysis a conclusion is made about the necessity of a multiparadigmatic approach in studying the social space of the local northern environment.
