Abstract

The article describes the relationship between the Volunteer Army and the Republic of Georgia in 1918. Special consideration is given to the question of the state status of the Sochi district as a key factor in the conflict between the warring parties. The paper to a great extent describes the foreign policy strategy of the Georgian leaders towards the Volunteer Army command.
