Abstract

The article gives a comparative analysis of interests articulated by six circumpolar countries in their so-called “Arctic strategies” as well as of key approaches and methods of their implementation. Main differences and coincidences between the Arctic strategies programs and the Russian Arctic policy are revealed. Potential for serving Russian national interests in the Arctic through cooperation of regional international organizations is defined.
