Abstract

The article discusses the problem of differentiation between the compound sentence and clusters of joint constructions. Hypotaxic and parataxic structures with parcelling and addition in spoken German are analysed. Specifics of constructions with both compound features and those of joint textual clusters are defined in terms of requirements of spoken discourse.
