Abstract

The article deals with the problem of Nordic mythology as a common spiritual tradition of Indo- European peoples and considers concepts by G. von List, H. Wirth and W. Schwartz, which give an idea of Proto-Indo-European religion. The author draws attention to the intersection of religious and cultural traditions of circumpolar and circumpontical civilizations as well as points out the necessity of considering history in material and spiritual unity including philosophical and artistic-poetic intuitions.
