Abstract

The article is devoted to the description of Saint John of Kronstadt’s years of studying at spiritual educational institutions of Arkhangelsk. Particular attention is given to his progress in learning of subjects at the seminary and to the way he was evaluated by his teachers in terms of his abilities, diligence and progress; some special features of young Ivan Sergiev’s personality are revealed.
