Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of ecclesiastical periodical press. In 1885 "Arkhangelsk Eparchial Vedomosti" was founded. On the basis of archive materials, the author studies peculiarities of editing the eparchial periodical, pointing out the problems which prevented the editors from gaining a toehold in the periodical and make it really effective.
