Abstract

The article is dedicated to the features of the music space of the Russian North. The North as a metaphysic boundary between life and death, space and chaos is a frontier landmark for the world of sounds as well. Supplementing each other, sounds form a polyphonic structure of the Russian North and represent a significant part of its traditional cultural code.
