From this thesis follows the conclusion about the insurmountable antagonism between the German nobility and National Socialism. In his monograph, Stephan Malinowski demonstrates convincingly that the dramatic events of the early 20th century caused a sharp decline in the sociopolitical status of the once privileged class, which, in turn, led to the growth of right-wing sentiments, rapprochement with the National Socialist movement and support for Hitler’s regime by a significant part of the nobility.KeywordsGermany, nobility, November Revolution of 1918, Weimar Republic, right radicalism, National SocialismReferences1.
