He has been exploring the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Russian North, a series of his studies being devoted to its wooden architecture. These studies involve folklore, ethnographic, historical and religious, historical and architectural, and art-historical materials. The review dwells on Yury Linnik’s monograph Architecture of the Russian North in the Theoretical and Scientific Works by A.B. Bode. It covers five chapters on the philosophical and cultural analysis of the architectural forms of North Russian wooden architecture.KeywordsRussian North, A.B.
