Abstract

This review deals with the monograph of Doctor of History, Associate Professor of Petrozavodsk State University E.V. Dianova titled Cultural and Educational Work of Cooperative Organizations in the European North (1900–1920). The book shows the main forms and methods of cooperative propaganda and cooperative education (organization of cooperative courses and participation of cooperatives in spreading agricultural knowledge). This publication presents great value as it involved a large corpus of materials to study the work of cooperatives aimed to establish libraries and folk theatres as well as develop cinematography and museums.
