Abstract

The article is devoted to some topical issues of progressive development of international law. The
author explores various conceptual approaches to the basic postulates of international law and analyzes
the principles of “sovereign equality of States” and “equal rights and self-determination of peoples”, as
well as suggests the most effective ways of rethinking these and other norms of international law without
damaging the existing system.
