Abstract

The article examines regional press on the example of the Arkhangelsk Region. The local press
occupies a special place in the system of mass media, being an integral part of the Russian mass media
system. The work presents certain categories of the magazine segment and the most notable journal
publications of the Arkhangelsk Region. The relevance of the topic lies in the need to create a typology
of regional press.
