Abstract

This article analyses the Youth Forum “Model Arctic Council” that was held in NArFU named after M.V. Lomonosov in September 2016 within the framework of the Summer School. This event was timed to the 20th anniversary of the Arctic Council and was held in the framework of the training course “EU in the Arctic: Governance, Research, International Relations” under the EU-supported programme Jean Monnet Module. The working language of the Summer School was English. At the forum, special attention was given to the processes of Arctic policy development and implementation in various countries, as well as to ensuring secure reindeer breeding and shipping in the Arctic.
