Abstract

This article looks at the work of the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of History, Professor V.N. Bulatov during his term as Rector of Pomor State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (1986–2007). The paper presents some biographical information, estimates Bulatov’s contribution to the development of higher education and science in the Arkhangelsk Region and describes the results of his research and public activities.
