Lomonosov (Arkhangelsk, Russia) AbstractIn the age of informatization of the society, the issues of virtual reality and virtual consciousness have grown in importance. On the whole, there appear new models, schemes and discourses of consciousness, the development of which has to be taken into consideration by communities in order to guide people in their life. The paper aimed to analyze, justify and reveal the influence of the Internet on one’s mind and show how these transformations (psychological, social, personality, etc.) take various forms in the real world. The scientific value of this work lies in the development of propositions and guidelines for the study of cognitive and communicative components of consciousness in the use of information technologies. The results can be applied to make people realize the impact of the Internet on the changes in their consciousness, behaviour and actions in the society. The author used the systemic and analytical approaches to study this issue and came to the conclusion that the formation of both individual and group (network) consciousness depends on the level of intellectual, mental capacity of the individual and the degree of social awareness of the impact the Internet has on people’s worldview, behaviour and actions. This study makes a significant contribution to the logical-methodological basis of social philosophy, social pedagogy and psychology, as well as cybernetics for further use in education and social control. In today’s world, when the level of manipulation of consciousness reaches a certain negative level, it is important to understand how the Internet affects people’s behaviour and their decision-making.Keywordsinformation technology, psychological effects of informatization, personality transformation, virtual reality, model of consciousness, post-classical hyperconsciousnessReferences
