Lomonosov; Arkhangelsk Scientific Centre, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Arkhangelsk, Russia) AbstractThe paper deals with the issues of human socialization within the socio-philosophical approach. The author uses P.A. Sorokin’s idea about institutionalization of a new school subject – Native Studies. This subject shall include “accumulative knowledge of natural sciences and humanities” about the country, its history, culture and traditions. The author analyzes the current programs used at schools and reveals certain contradictions in their content. The paper shows typical erroneous approaches to the moral education of schoolchildren and university students. Among them are: trial-and-error solution, excessive politicization of the process and underestimation of the importance of everyday human existence. The author believes that this problem can be solved by enhancing the role of school and university teachers as the subjects of spiritual enrichment of a person and his/her value system.Keywordspatriotism, native studies, socialization, social risk, social technologiesReferences
