Abstract

Using a set of criteria, the authors analyze the competition of environmental projects presented at the regional stage of the Russia-wide academic competition on ecology. The level of certain methodological skills is determined; insights into the educational functions of project activity as a form of environmental education are provided; challenges the students faced while preparing for the competition are named.
