Abstract

The article analyzes initial formulas of tsar’s letters to Doges of Venice. The research is based on the letters of the tsars Alexey MIkhailovich, Ivan and Peter Alexeevich, and Peter the Great, kept in the State Archive of Venice and in Russian archives, as well as on documents already published.
