Abstract

The article deals with the most critical and insufficiently known period in the history of higher pedagogical education of the Arkhangelsk region: 1941–1945, when, in spite of all difficulties, Arkhangelsk Teacher Training College not only worked for survival and our common victory, but also managed to accomplish its main objective: training of teaching staff.
