Abstract

The author presents a new branch in linguistics: linguistic ecology. The author considers etiquette formulas in terms of cross-cultural competence and lays a special emphasis on their role in communication. General etiquette formulas in verbal communication can unite representatives of different nations as well as keep up their historical, social and cultural ethnic principles.
