Abstract

Comparative studies of vocabulary should be based on new principles which include taking conceptual features as tertium comparationis, using complex methods of linguistic fixation of conceptual features, forming research catalogs taking into account denotative class notion, using a uniform methodology for comparing heterogeneous lexical units as well as an interpretative approach to the results obtained.
