Abstract

The article analyzes the multistage process of forming new social institutions. Attention is given to the major factors that create the necessary conditions for changing or forming a social institution. The examples of theories and concepts of institutionalization given indicate the possibility of an institutional approach as one of the most appropriate methods of sociological analysis of social changes in transitional societies.
