Abstract

The article deals with the history of ecclesiastical periodicals. On the basis of «Arkhangelsk Eparchial Vedomosti» the author investigates activity of this ecclesiastical periodical and contribution of the clergy to it. The article points out the problems which prevented the periodical from becoming a platform for clergy consolidation on its way to modernization.
