Abstract

External respiration of children with scoliosis was studied. There were examined 134 schoolchildren aged 7–15 years with scoliosis of I-II degree and 80 children without this pathology. It has been deduced that the pulmonary ventilation function of children with scoliosis is characterised by a decrease in the speed of air flow in the bronchical tree at the level of middle-sized and small bronchi.
