Abstract

The dynamic stability of the pigment complex of sea phytoplankton communities is shown. Characteristic regularity in relationship of basic chlorophyll а and additional b and с to their sum was revealed as A:B:С index, where A=а/(a+b+с), B=b/(a+b+с), С=с/(a+b+с) in percentage terms. It does not depend on the size or biomass of phytoplankton but reflects species composition, variants of metabolism and “maturity” of the plant community.
