Abstract

Bird and mammal populations in the Bolshezemelskaya tundra and on the Gydan Peninsula in local areas of the same latitude were studied. The article presents a comparative analysis of the faunal assemblages of birds in the zoogeographical aspect as well as their quantitative characteristics. Fauna differences in view of the sites under consideration were detected, and key factors determining them were analyzed.
