Abstract
The paper presents the first data on the morphometric characteristics and quantitative parameters of the chemical stratification of freshwater Lake Svetloe, located in the north of the Arkhangelsk Region. The researches were conducted from December 2009 to November 2011. The meromictic status of this water body was proved. Data on the content of O2, S2-, Ca, Mg, Na, SO4 2-, Cl-, Fe, Mn, dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and nutrients were presented.
Keywords
meromictic lake, chemical stratification, hydrogen sulfide, nutrients, dissolved forms of iron and manganese.
