The author, N.F. Koryakovtseva, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor at the Moscow State Linguistic University, examines the discipline in the context of the development of modern linguistic education, paying special attention to the anthropocentric approach and the intercultural paradigm. The book reveals the theoretical foundations of the formation of a secondary linguistic personality, analyzes the mechanisms of mastering a non-native language, and highlights the current trends of state language policy in a multilingual world.
