Abstract

The article presents the author’s assessment of the current state of Russian and foreign history and historiography of the Civil War in Russia as well as identifies important but little-studied and problematic aspects of the history of the Civil War, Revolution and Allied intervention in 1917–1920. In addition, the author asserts the need for an objective and balanced approach to the study of these events and their consequences.
