Abstract

In September 2017, NarFU in Arkhangelsk hosted the annual meeting of women’s history researchers. The 10th International Conference of the Russian Association of Women’s History Researchers “Strength of the Weaker Sex: The Power of Unity and Mutual Support Between Men and Women in the World’s Cultures” involved more than 200 scholars both from Russia and abroad, among them: historians, sociologists, political scientists, culture experts, philosophers, journalists, experts in the spheres of law, theory and psychology of management, demography, and economics. They discussed the problems in the past and the present of women in Russia and the rest of the world. In addition, students and teachers of Arkhangelsk universities had an opportunity to attend open lectures given by eminent researchers in various fields.
