Abstract

The paper presents a report on the XII International Youth IT Festival “IT-Arkhangelsk” (December 17–19, 2015, Arkhangelsk). The festival “IT-Arkhangelsk” is a hallmark of Institute of Mathematics, Information and Space Technologies and is held annually since 2004. It provides plenty of opportunities for the participants: competitive and educational tracks, a job fair “IT Career Day”. The educational tracks acquaint the participants with the innovative information technologies. The contests allow us to reveal the talents and motivate the students for their professional development in future. A Career Day allows us to introduce the IT companies to the graduates, to form a candidate pool of students and graduates of Institute of Mathematics, Information and Space Technologies of Northern (Arctic) Federal University. The festival “IT-Arkhangelsk” – is an example of a successful platform that combines education, science and business.
