Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the Arkhangelsk Region Arctic policy. Historical, political and socioeconomic prerequisites for the specific place and role of Arkhangelsk in the Arctic region development are determined. Tasks and potential of the Arkhangelsk Region in terms of implementation of Russian strategic objectives in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation are considered; the most promising and actively-discussed projects are evaluated.
