Abstract

The article studies the consequences of the colonial policy of Tsarist Russia in the Northeast
Caucasus in the 1820-1850s. Trade and economic relations of neighboring peoples of Dagestan and
Chechnya were vitally important during the military and economic blockade aimed at conquering the
rebelled mountaineers.
