Abstract

The review is devoted to the analysis of the content of the textbook, released in the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov in the second half of 2016, prepared by a team of the Russian and Norwegian scientists and specialists under the editorship of Professor M. Gubaydullin. The book contains a lot of new information that can be useful in training of specialists focused on the hydrocarbon resources development in the western part of the Arctic shelf of Russia. The book is also recommended for non-specialist audiences interested in the environmental protection of the Arctic.
