Abstract

The article deals with the experience of training specialists in Polish philology at the Russian Language and Literature Department of Pomor State University (Arkhangelsk, Russia) in close cooperation with professors from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland) between 1996 and 2014. The universities had developed a joint syllabus approved by their councils: they offer a specialized coordinated dual-degree program in Russian and Polish philology and award a diploma from Pomor State University and a bachelor’s degree from Adam Mickiewicz University. The author examines the difficulties in the course of development and implementation of this project set up with due regard for the educational standards in Russia and Poland.
