Abstract

Radical changes in all spheres of Russian society require active involvement of the Russian youth in the socio-political relations. State institutions, political parties and public organizations express various views on the role and place of youth in Russian politics. Politicians and officials have lately been searching for options to manage the political participation of young people at the legislative and social levels. Public authorities have certain experience at both the federal and regional levels. The article studies some aspects of youth participation in the political and social life of the Arkhangelsk region. Special attention is paid to the forms of such political participation. Youth policy is considered by the author to be an integral part of involving the younger generation in the socio-political life of the regional society.
