Abstract

The paper describes the morphology of hydrated common juniper pollen grains. In addition, it presents the results of studying the processes of pollen grain hydration, the mechanism of exine rupture and the early stages of in vitro microgametophytogenesis of common juniper. Correlation of these processes with peculiarities of juniper pollen grain morphology is shown.
