Abstract

The article investigates the emergence of forms and content of school curricula, clarifies features of physical education for schoolchildren, girls in particular. It analyzes the financial and methodological support and acceptance of physical education as a principal and compulsory school subject in Soviet Ukraine during the 1920s.
